Actuate Insurance Honors Art and Leadership at the MMS President’s Reception

A night to remember. Actuate Insurance was proud to join the Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) on May 15 for a memorable evening at the President’s Reception, Presidential Inauguration, and Awards Ceremony. It was an occasion that perfectly reflects Actuate’s foundational values: community, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to the physicians we serve. 

Sponsoring the Nancy N. Caron Annual Member Art Exhibit

Actuate was once again honored to sponsor the Nancy N. Caron Annual Member Art Exhibit, presented by the Arts, History, Humanism & Culture Member Interest Network (AHH&C MIN). The exhibit beautifully showcases the creative talents of MMS members and their families, a powerful reminder that the physicians we serve bring extraordinary gifts to the world well beyond medicine.  

Sponsoring this event felt especially meaningful this year, as Actuate recently expanded its offerings with the launch of Personal Lines, now protecting not just physicians’ professional lives, but their homes, families, and everything they have worked hard to build. 

Actuate’s Own in the Spotlight 

The evening brought several proud moments for the Actuate family. Board member and MMS Past President Dr. Jim Gessner was on hand to celebrate alongside his wife Ann Gessner, an accomplished watercolorist with two paintings featured in this year’s exhibit. Her work drew well-deserved admiration from attendees throughout the evening.

Actuate President Thomas Bryant was also in attendance alongside board member Dr. Judd Kline, a fitting reflection of Actuate’s enduring investment in the physician community it was built to serve.

A Moment of Deep Pride: Dr. Alain Chaoui Honored

One of the evening’s most moving moments came when Actuate board member and MMS Past President Dr. Alain Chaoui accepted the Award for Distinguished Service to the MMS, one of the Society’s highest honors. The award recognizes members who have made significant contributions through leadership, member recruitment, and committee work. In his remarks, Dr. Chaoui spoke with passion about his commitment to physician wellness, a cause that resonates deeply with everyone at Actuate. We could not be prouder to have him on our board.
